Meet Hubie Brown!

This is Hubie Brown, the dog.  Not to be confused with Hubie Brown, the former basketball coach and now ESPN commentator.  Hubie Brown (the dog) came to us from Ypsilanti, Michigan on Valentine's Day this year.  Some of his favorite activities include, eating, sleeping, stealing socks, goosing random women in Lowe's Home Improvement, and yes, even riding on scooters.

Hubie Brown spends most of his days at RevMoto and is currently in training at the Sonoma County Humane Society to become a therapy dog.  If you come into RevMoto during the week, be prepared for a (sometimes too) friendly greeting and a super cuddly hug.

Directly behind Hubie is the new Vespa Primavera 150 which is his current ride of choice.  He can't decide which color he should get, what do you think?

Nice ride. You know Sue?

Photo Credit:  Michelle Redstone

If you dare to ride a Vespa within 10 miles of the Napa County line, and should encounter a stranger, you'll hear two things;

1.  Nice ride
2.  You know Sue?

Everybody knows Suellen Darblay.  Back when my man and I opened the doors to our first scooter shop location on D street, Sue was right there on her blue and green two-tone Vespa ET4--supporting our shop and bringing in her pals.  If I had time, I'd hunt down one of the many beautiful photos of her on that steed.  Sadly, time is a short commodity these days, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

This girl, our Sue, is the sweetest, kindest, most charming little Vespa rider you'll ever find.  But everybody already knows that.  What you don't know about this girl, our Sue, is that on Saturday, May 31, she'll begin riding from ALASKA to NEW ORLEANS for the 2014 Scooter Cannonball Run.  That's a whopping 3,650 miles.  Sue's scooter of choice for this trek is a Vespa GTS 250.  And we're sponsoring and supporting her every step of the way.  If you'd like to follow along, go here:

Now, when you ride your scooter over to Napa, you'll hear three things;

1.  Nice ride
2.  You know Sue?
3.  Did you hear that she rode her Vespa all the way from Alaska to New Orleans?

Big thanks to Paul K at Tucker Rocky for the First Gear jacket and heated gear.  Also a thanks to ARC Copy for the sweet custom vinyl.

And to Sue, the last time we sponsored a rider for Cannonball, he won.  No pressure, though.

We love you.  Give'em hell!

What does $1.89 a day get you?

The answer is not a lot.  But just for your information, here are a few things:
  • 97% of a cup of coffee from Starbucks
  • Almost 2 hours of parking in downtown Santa Rosa
  • A two-minute foot massage
  • A half-gallon of gasoline (but none of that fancy stuff, just the regular)
  • 3/4 of a pastry from Village Bakery
  • A 50cc Genuine Buddy Limited Edition Lemonhead scooter

Wait, what?  Yep.  A whole scooter.  Granted, there's some fine print, but still.  Here's how it all breaks down:

BASE PRICE (ON SALE):    $1500.00 (Regularly $2199)
FEES:                                :       399.00 Set up
                                                  140.00  DMV registration fee
                                                    45.00  Document fee
                                                  166.16 Sales tax (based on Santa Rosa tax rate)

TOTAL:                                  $2250.16

And with special financing through Sheffield, at 6-months, no interest, deferred payment for 48 months (12.95%), it comes out to $56.78 a month, or roughly $1.89 a day.  Bam!  Take that Mr. Gargoyle* (the math teacher who gave me a D+).

But wait, there's more.  Sheffield also has a financing option of 2.9% for 36 months--making the monthly payment around $65.35.  All of this, of course, is based on approved credit, your desire for a scooter, and your ability to be a nice person when you come into the shop.

The bad news?  C'mon, you knew there was a catch, right?  We've only got one.  Vin:  1344.
