Vespa Lights Up Your Life

Introducing quite possibly one of the coolest lighters ever--so cool in fact, one was stolen within the first hour they were displayed.  These lighters are refillable, come with a classic Vespa metal tin embossed with their logo, have a warranty, and are only $39.

In addition to these lighters, we received a huge assortment of super-cool Vespa gear; messenger bags, key chains, coffee mugs, stickers, and other beautifully designed scooter goods.

Come in to Revolution Moto this week for the best selection.  But you better hurry, they're literally flying off the shelves (and right into peoples' pockets).

Finally, a song just for scooter girls!

Hey Peeps!

Look what I found for all of my fellow Scooter Girls!  The band's called 'The Most Mod Band' and the song's called 'Scooter Girl.'  While they mostly perform in places called Halstead, Wickford, and Colchester, you can check them out here on the world wide webernet.

LaVerne Wins!

I was all excited and ready to post about the new two-tone (avocado & cream) Stella that just arrived today. I was gonna tell you how beautiful she is, how we're gonna have a demo day--just for you--and give you the whole low down, but then I saw the above photo on Facebook.

If you ever had any hesitation about your toughness or bad-ass-ability whilst scooting; think again people. Scooter Sista, LaVerne, has just blown that theory to bits. Literally. LaVerne, and her husband Eric, are vacationing in Northern California near North Fork with their scooters IN THE SNOW. Did I mention the snow? And to think I was cringing as I scooted in some light rain yesterday.

If there were a Scooter Girl Hall of Fame, LaVerne and her Piaggio MP3 would be the first inductee. I'd probably be on the waiting list for 'honorary' member, twice removed. But just knowing that LaVerne's out there, rockin' it, slingin' it, and shootin' it straight, we'll I'm gonna scoot home with my chin held just a little higher today.

Enjoy this sunny weather, folks. And don't forget to check your tire pressure. Please and thank you.

My new motor scooter can beat up your motor scooter:

I don't know what's bigger news; that Scooter Girl managed to wake up at 6AM this morning and is in now in Florida at the Piaggio Group America's dealer meeting--OR--that Aprilia has successfully launched the world's fastest scooter: the Aprilia SRV 850.

Here's the skinny on this new super scooter:
  • Just like Aprilia's Mana 850, the SRV 850 has an 8-valve, liquid-cooled, 840cc V-Twin. That's getting you excited, isn't it?!
  • Seventy-six horses
  • Zero to 60 MPH in FIVE--that's right, FIVE--seconds
  • Bad-ass Brembo braking system (cause you're gonna need it).

Scooter Girl may have forgotten to pack her toothbrush, but she didn't forget to pack her helmet. Demo day is tomorrow. Hooray! Stay tuned for more details. And surprises.

MSRP and arrival date (the word on the track is Fall 2012) to RevMoto will be available shortly. If you want to get on the list, you'd better sign up soon. For a Cycle World review on the SRV 850, go here. For funny family photos, go here.

P.S. The seat feels good. Like a scooter seat should.
