Foodie Bootie

Adding to the cache of prizes for ScooterRosa, Josh & Regina Silvers of Jackson's Bar and Oven & Petite Syrah donated $100 for each of their restaurants. But wait, there's more, they also included a signed copy of Down Home Down Town, a cook book collaboration between Josh Silvers and Jeff Mall of Zin Restaurant in Healdsburg.

Huge thanks to the Silvers for their generous donation! If you don't end up being the lucky winner of this fabulous gift, check out their restaurants anyway. Some of the best food in Sonoma County. Seriously. It's slurpalicious.

And you can quote me on that.

Dainese is Da'bomb!

Shelli of Dainese kicked down with an awesome riding jacket for ScooterRosa this year. Scooter Girl was in the city yesterday and stopped by the Dainese location for a little one-on-one time with some fine Italian leather.

Huge thanks to Shelli for the donation of a gorgeous unisex riding jacket!

Only 7 days left...

And finally...Sorry, Shelli, for the drool.

Behold, the Digital Scavenger Hunt

The upcoming Digital Scavenger Hunt (DSH), during ScooterRosa, is all about creating great photos with you and your scooters, and having a hoot whilst doing it. RevMoto's first DSH was way back in 2004--during one of our first charity rides.

Instead of the typical format of a scavenger hunt where you receive clues and set out to find the item, you will receive a list of photo descriptions and you and your team will set out as a troop of crazed (but controlled) paparazzi--you know you want to.

We've got quite a line-up for this year's DSH at ScooterRosa. While we can't give up the photo descriptions until the day of the ride, here are a few examples from 2004:

Photo Description 1: One Harley dude or dudette sitting on your scooter. Two bonus points if he/she is in full leathers.

Photo Description 2: All scooters & riders with a cow in the photo. Two bonus points if the cow is a SF Giants fan.

Photo Description 3: All riders on one scooter. Three bonus points if someone's naked.

Now, I must confess, I was a bit disappointed that no one got those last bonus points. I'm hoping that this years DSH teams are up for a real challenge. Cause it be getting crazy up in here!

Hollywood up in here!

Brace yo'self.

Scooter Girl, in all of her free time, has written a script for a small film. The premise, which is inspired by some of her favorite local scooterists:

One girl. One scooter. One grocery store. One quirky story of giving and the power to make the world a better place.

Also in cahoots, Ms. Katharine Morelli, local writer and editor extraordinaire, Mr. Will Thorn, local filmmaker and creator of Goreela Productions.

Filming begins on August 19th with a cast of local celebrities, including local scooter girl, Jennifer Mann in the role of 'Cat Lady,' Marcus Myers as the"Big Mean Man,' my boy Steve Cannon as "Store Manager," Marge Jones as 'Distinguished Damsel,' and yours truly as 'Scooter Girl.'

One role still needs to be filled, that of an older gentleman. Interested?

P.S. Huge thanks to Grocery Outlet for allowing us to film on location!

We Like Days Like Nights

Scooter Girl is stoked (or stroked--however you want to spin it) to have resident Scooter Boy and Royal Bastard, Dan Carls and his band, Days Like Nights, performing at ScooterRosa on Saturday, July 23. We love Dan, we love his band, and we're super thankful for their generosity. Yep, they're playing gratis. Why? Because they're awesome, that's why!

Become a fan of their band here: I'M A FAN!

Or, if you don't do the whole Facebook thing, go here: OLD SCHOOL

Tickets for this year's ScooterRosa are still available here: BROWN PAPER

Scooter Dude, Digitale

Mr. & Mrs. Digitale, a local scooter couple about town. They dine and date on a Piaggio Fly 150, purchased from Revolution Moto. With three college-bound girls, they cut down their expenses by eliminating one car and are rocking the 1.5 (one scooter/one car) instead.

Check out Robert's article here: One-Car One-Scooter

And...there's even a video. Don't worry, it's nothing like Two Girls One Cup. I promise. We keep shit classy around here.

See Tom Hanks in Petaluma!

We all know that Tom Hanks is super cool, but now he's even superey cooler now that he's scooting around on the big screen. The Royal Bastards of Sonoma County have put a ride together to view his latest movie; Larry Crowne.

Here's the plan for tonight:

  • Meet at RevMoto @ 6PM
  • Ride to the cinemas in Petaluma
  • Watch the movie (maybe eat some popcorn)
  • Scoot home

Thanks to Ginny for organizing!
